Experience. That is the word that comes to mind when I think of Mustard Seed Hill. I am interested in providing an experience for you and your guests. During the many months of planning, building, and renovating the campus (previously known as Millersburg Military Institute), the team at Mustard Seed Hill and our wonderful contractors held one common goal – to create the ultimate venue that would cultivate a lifetime of memories. And I think we did just that.
On June 11th we planned a party, but not just any party – our Grand Opening. This single event would showcase the campus to the public including the wedding and events industry, our funders, but most importantly our local community and neighbors. All our round the clock work would be on display. This event needed to be special, magical, but overall it needed to provide an experience for our guests.
While planning the Grand Opening so many wonderful wedding and event professionals wrapped their arms around us and offered the best of the best. They listened to our vision, and boy, did they deliver!
The evening began with the ribbon cutting ceremony and a beautiful serenade of “My Old Kentucky Home” and “Over the Rainbow” by Linkin’ Bridge.
Visions for Mustard Seed Hill and the city of Millersburg along with heartfelt thank you’s were delivered by CEO, Kevin Smith.
Immediately following the event, guests were invited to tour the campus and enjoy the florals, design and menus provided by many talented vendors. Rental items such as tents, tables, chairs, linens and more were provided by Bryant’s Rent-All, Purdon’s Rental, and Canvas Event Furniture. Food and beverage were provided by DaRae & Friends Catering, City BBQ, Type A Catering, Sweet Lilu’s, Dupree Catering + Events, Selma’s Catering + Events, Catering by Donna, Bella Notte, Hartfield & Co., Martine’s Pastries, Eight Horse Bakery, and Crank and Boom. Florals and styled tablescapes were provided by Refined Social Events, Great Expectations, Lúnasa Events, Soirée Blue Events, Sherwood Design + Events, White Cat Weddings, Fields in Bloom, Natural Endeavors, and Doug Smith Designs + Events.
Here is a more in-depth look at what 400 of our closest friends enjoyed that evening…
The event was a wonderful success! We wouldn’t have anything to celebrate without our brilliant contractors (CMW Architects, Mitchell Construction, The Walker Company & Henkel Denmark) and vendors. They helped to curate the beautiful experience that we intended for our guests. So, THANK YOU – here’s to creating small moments that become treasured memories.
And THANK YOU to all of our guests for your support.
